Thanksgiving 2005

My Thanksgiving this year was spent, as usual, in Northern California with my family. Its amazing how time goes by so fast lately... it’s been a year, yet it feels like only a few months! We had a smaller than usual (our college-aged, far away living cousins were not in attendance) family gathering Thursday... Italians seem to go over-kill with everything... 3 turkeys for 13 people, needless to say I was stuffed!! Pictures and more...

My family has always been very important to me. I very much enjoy anytime we can all get together, so many people these days do not have family to fall back on, I feel very close with everyone. Whenever we are all together, there is so much laughing, and talk, and reminiscing on the past, and contemplating the future. I hope when I am a little older, that the younger generation stays as close knit as the older generations.

Do we REALLY need 3 turkeys for 13 people??? yummies....

Surprise for my Sister!!

So I made the 5 hour flight back East to Philly to visit my family and some friends this weekend... It was my sisters surprise 21st birthday, her husband organized a gathering for about 20 family and friends at this great sushi restaurant right outside of Manhattan.

Read on...

I arrived in Philly and made the way to my parents house, upon arriving my dad informed me that my mom was not home, so the wild goose chase was on!! I finally met up with her while grocery shopping... what a scene we caused. The real reason why I made the trip, was to see my sister... living on opposite coasts we never get the time to spend with each other like we used to. I miss her VERY much! I bought a huge bouquet of flowers for her, hid in the Starbucks next door to the restaurant. After 20 anxious minutes I got the call to make the entrance. Everyone was getting settled, and I tapped on my sisters shoulder... she lost it!! We were both so excited to see each other, actually I couldn't tell who was more excited...

We visited, caught up, did sake shots, and had a great time at dinner... most of us made the way back to her awesome apartment that over looks the island on Manhattan. Coffee and cake, and a lot of chit chat later we made our way home. That will be a birthday dinner she will not soon forget.

The Roosevelt

So November 11th, 2005 was another CRAZY Friday night in Hollywood... Jessica Simpson, Nick Lachey, Pamela Anderson, Mark McGrath, Matthew Perry.. and more...

But first, a little background on The Roosevelt Hotel:
trop1.bmp 083005.6c.jpg

"In Short
Designer Dodd Mitchell (Dolce, the Lodge) and "lifestyle producer" Amanda Scheer Demme have transformed the Roosevelt's patio bar into a Mid-Century Modern urban oasis. Surrounded by palm trees and private bungalows, industry hotshots and artist types recline on linen-covered chaise lounges; wearing $300 jeans and flip-flops, they absorb the '50s Palm Springs-meets-A-list Hollywood vibe, cocktails in hand. Amid the glass-and-chrome decor, one highlight of the former space remains perfectly intact: the swimming pool's underwater David Hockney mural." --citysearch.com

another article from San Francisco Chronicle

As the night got started...

...I met up with my friends Megan and Natalie... these two are out of control, but a lot of fun, none-the-less. The night started as a bust, running late, no parking, having nothing fun to wear, and Megan running behind schedule... as usual. I arrive at her house to find her and Natalie coming home and heading right for the couch. I soon rally the troops, they primp, and we are off for a night out.

Upon arriving, we rushed around to get inside, meg used her I am a fabulous publicist of an a-list celebrity card to get us to where the action was. as we cozy up to the bar, nick and Jessica arrive, and within a few minutes, and a $60 dollar round for 4 drinks later we are pressing the flesh with Pamela Anderson and the lead singer of sugar ray, mark McGrath. its amazing to see the way people interact with each other and with people who are famous. in actuality everyone puts their pants on like me... one leg at a time.

The establishment was so nice too, you are poolside, at the Tropicana bar / lounge, there are fire pits and swanky seating everywhere... being in Los Angeles, its never really cold out and always crystal clear at night, so it was a perfect evening.

i have included a few pictures i found online of the bar and lounge as well as the hotel.

Live from Los Angeles...

Welcome everyone... family, friends, and any one else who stumbles across this website...

This blog will contain entries and images from my life, journeys, ramblings, and so on... click "continue reading" for everything you ever wanted to know about me...

Perhaps let me start with an excerpt from my myspace.com profile:

About me:just a slightly above average 25 year old, living @ the beach southern california...

i entered my birthday on some website and got this result, very accurate in my opinion:

A Life Path 7 person is a peaceful and affectionate soul, and by nature rather reserved and analytical. The overwhelming strength of the number 7 is reflected in the depth of thinking that is shown; you will garner knowledge from practically every source that you find. Intellectual, scientific and studious, you don't accept a premise until you have dissected the subject and arrived at you own independent conclusion. This is a very spiritual number and it often denotes a sort of spiritual wisdom that becomes apparent at a fairly early age. You need a good deal of quiet time to be with your own inner thoughts and dreams. You dislike crowds, noise and confusion. You are very thorough and complete in your work, the perfectionist who expects everyone else to be a meet a high standard of performance, too. You evaluate situations very quickly and with amazing accuracy. You rely heavily on your experiences and your intuition, rather than accepting advice from someone; your hunches usually prove to be very accurate, and knowing this, you are one who tends to follow the directions they seem to guide. It's easy for you to detect deception and recognize insincere people. You aren't one to have a wide circle of friends, but once you accept someone as a friend, it's for life. You really aren't a very social person, and your reserve is often taken to be aloofness. Actually, it's not that at all, but merely a cover up for your basic feeling of insecurity. You actually like being alone, away from the hustle and bustle of modern life. In many ways, you would have fit in better in much earlier times when the pace of life was less hectic.

also, anything you might like to know is listed in the short survey i took below, however, feel free to ask if there is something you cannot live without knowing!
