Palm Springs and Santa Barbara Flights...
This past weekend Saturday 08 April I flew from Hawthorne (LAX) to Santa Barbara and back, "for lunch"... This is amazing to me. I can wake up, go to the airport, hop in the plane and go a great distance quickly, at my own leisure. Saturday night I got a call and the owner of one of the planes I fly said he would pick up the tab for the entire Sundays 09 April flight (plane, fuel, etc) if I would fly to Palm Springs to pick him up, along with his wife and dog. I jumped on that chance. Went from Palm Springs, to Santa Monica and then back to Hawthorne where the plane is parked. What a great weekend, I am becoming more familiar with the idea of flight and more comfortable in the air with every minute I spend up there. I was able to snap some pictures this weekend from both flights, check them out....
